Fun, festive and faith-filled, Doug and Dave‘s two Nashville-recorded albums, “Called” and “The Faith We Live,” hit the soul with powerful, driven beats, heavy harmonies and faith-in-action lyrics that encourage listeners to live out their spiritual call.
“We hope these songs empower an attitude of service and thinking beyond ourselves,” said Doug Brummel. “We are all called by God to be Christ for the world.”
The two six-song EPs were both recorded at Yackland Studio in Nashville with Stephen Leiweke, an award-winning producer who has worked with numerous Christian recording artists, such as Chris Tomlin, Lauren Daigle, Matt Maher and Michael W. Smith, among many others.
The duo teamed up with mission organization Unbound to release their sophomore album, “The Faith We Live,” which encourages us to live out our faith every day. The album serves as the soundtrack for an interactive live show, which was created in an effort to generate awareness and innovative solutions in challenging poverty around the world.
“The ‘Called’ album shares the living light of Christ through Doug and Dave’s musical talent,” says Father Todd Philipsen. “As their song says, Christ lives in and through each of us.”
In addition to hitting the studio, Doug and Dave have hit the road hard, taking their original music to churches and conferences throughout the nation. Read more about the duo’s new shows, “Mass Confusion” and “The Faith We Live.”
“It’s like my church world collided with Dave’s country world and the result is fresh, inspiring and life-giving music that we feel can help everyone realize that we are all called to grow outside ourselves and love and serve others,” Brummel said.
